One of the recent articles I’ve stumbled upon was WIRED’s Desiging high-tech Japanese toilets. It’s old but still interesting!
If you’ve never heard about the High-tech Japanese toilet before, you can check out some of the “standard” features from wikipedia here.
It was interesting in the design process angle since designing toilet comes with its own set of unique problems like the ethical issue of testing with real human “bulk drops”. (Hint: Some brand of miso soup has other uses) or how to program sensor guided water spray for the “paper free” toilet.
Enjoy!
